Champaign County Garden Walk
Champaign County Master Gardeners will hold their annual Garden Walk on Saturday, June 17, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tickets are $10 and available for purchase at the Champaign County Extension Office (801 N Country Fair Drive, Champaign), Prairie Gardens, Illini FS, Country Arbors, Danville Garden Too, Schuren Nursery in St. Joseph, Ropp’s Flower Factory in Mahomet and Green View in Mahomet. The Garden Walk offers the perfect opportunity to slow down and enjoy the beauty of summer as you meander through private gardens. Bring a friend or family member and find new ideas for your own garden!Each year, University of Illinois Extension sponsors the Champaign County Garden Walk through its Master Gardener program. The Garden Walk gives the public an opportunity to spend time in gardens that are open to the public for only one day. Homeowners have spent months preparing for this year’s event. Proceeds from the Garden Walk fund Master Gardener involvement and educational programs in community gardens throughout Champaign County. Your Urbana Tryathlon route starts at Neutral Cycle (624 S 5th St, Champaign, IL) for bike check, registration, waiver signing, music and camraderie. Then, in three waves of 50, Tryathletes will follow pack leaders on bike through Urbana to Urbana Boulders for all levels indoor climbing.
After climbing, Tryathletes will take another ride through Urbana to Amara Yoga & Arts. At Amara, highly trained yoga instructors will stretch out your bike and boulder muscles so you are loose for your ride to Riggs Beer Company.
At Riggs, be ready to keg toss and celebrate Urbana with your friends, family and free Tryathlon pint glass.
2017 Strawberry Jam
Enjoy musical performances by local bands and taste fresh strawberries over ice cream while supplies last. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, pack a picnic and settle in for an evening of old-fashioned fun. Activities include guided hike with a naturalist, hayrack rides and games and activities from our staff and partner organizations.

For children birth through those entering grade 6 – both readers and listeners.
Each time you read at least 15 minutes, mark your reading log.
Bring your completed log to the Library to receive a free book plus coupons for local businesses.
For each additional log you complete, you will receive another free book!
Parents and caregivers who read to a child registered in the program receive a free book.
For teens who have completed grades 6 through 12.
Select books of your choice and keep track of the number of pages read.
Every time you read 1,000 pages, come to the Library to pick out a free book from our selection of new books.
Reading also enters you in a weekly raffle to win a complete book series.

After you read 4 books, stop by the Library to select a free book from our selection of popular books.
Keep reading! For each additional four books you complete, you will receive another free book!
